What counts as a request?
Each successful decode call to /api/v1/decode counts toward your monthly quota. Errors from invalid keys or rate limits do not.
What happens if I hit my limit?
You'll receive a 429 response. Upgrade your plan for a higher quota, or wait for the monthly reset on the 1st (UTC).
Can I change plans later?
Yes — email us from your dashboard and we apply the change the same day. Billing is a simple monthly invoice; there's no card on file.
Which vehicles are covered?
Structural data (manufacturer, model year, plant, region) is decoded for any standard VIN worldwide. Detailed attributes (model, body, engine) come from the U.S. NHTSA database, so coverage is strongest for vehicles sold in the US market. When attributes aren't available you still get the structural decode.
